WOMEN FACIAL HAIR

The unwanted hair often appears on the upper lip, chin and sides of the face. First determine that the cause of the hair growth is not hormonal and if it is then consult your doctor otherwise you can use any one of the following methods to remove your facial air.

Do not use tweezer unless you have just a few stray hairs that occasionally pop up. Using tweezers is fine for eyebrows, but not recommended for facial hair as repeated plucking can result in irritation in the hair follicle and, scarring on darker-skinned women.

Depilatory creams dissolve the hair at the base of the follicle. These creams are ideal for the widespread areas (like the legs), but they can be problematic when used on the face as they cause irritatation and usually don't remove all of the hairs. Depilatory creams are a relatively inexpensive option and their results will last for one to two weeks.

Waxing
It is an effective method to remove hair on the upper lip and fine hair on the side of the face, but should not be used for the chin area, where hair tends to be coarser.

Darker-skinned women can sometimes experience discoloration due to irritation and inflammation caused by waxing. Waxing results should last from two to six weeks depending on your hair and skin type.

Electrolysis
Electrolysis uses low-level electricity to kill the hair follicles. It`s, results last longer than with waxing and depilatories but the process is time consuming and costly.

It's essential to find a reputable practitioner (ask around your friends to see if they can recommend anyone), because electrolysis performed incorrectly can cause scarring.

Before you begin treatment, ask for referrals from former clients, and make sure that a new needle is used for each session.

Electrolysis is generally recommended for women with white or very blonde hair and for women who have areas with isolated hairs.

Bleaching
By this method, with the help of chemical creams, the hair is lightened to near invisibility. It is best suited for removing the hair from the face, as there is no risks of irritating the follicles since the hair are not being removed. But there is a darker side to it since the chemicals can irritate the sensitive skin and this results in a ?peach fuzz' appearance especially on the darker skin.

Electric Elipator
It is a rotatory tweezer-style hand-held device that removes the hair from the roots. It can be used all over the body. It is convenient to use and the effect lasts up to 4 weeks. It works on short hair and the regrowth is finer. But there is a high pain factor involved and it can cause temporary red rash, itching or irritation.

Cream Depilatory
This chemically dissolves the hair shaft slightly below the skin surface. This method can be used to remove the hair from the legs, the bikini-line and arms. There is no pain factor involved and this method is inexpensive and convenient to use. It is messy method and has strong odor. It can also irritate the sensitive skin hence always do a test patch and then apply to a larger area.

Tweezing And Threading
Both these methods pull the hair from the roots. Tweezing employs pincers and threading involves a twisted cotton thread rolls over the area from which the hair is to be removed, the hair is caught in the thread and pulled out. This method is used to remove the hair from the face. This method is very precise. Threading only works on small and relatively smooth areas. It cannot be done on anyone with bad acne.

Pulsed Light
In this, a non-laser light source removes the hair by beaming the light of multiple wavelengths into the follicles. It can be used anywhere and is a permanent method with less risk of scarring than laser but may scar if done incorrectly. Is expensive and time consuming.
