How To Highlight Nose With Makeup

To make a nose appear shorter, blend a darker color under nose and up over tip.

Here are two ways you can use make-up to give the illusion of a smaller nose. One option is to apply your foundation as usual. Then, using a wedge sponge, apply a slightly darker foundation to the sides of the nose from the top inner corner of the eye to the tip. This creates a shadow on the sides. Next, highlight the center of your nose by brushing a line of light, translucent powder from the top center to the tip. You've now got highlights on the center of the nose and shadows on the sides which creates the illusion. The second is to use a matte taupe powder brushed down the sides of the nose instead of the darker foundation. Highlight the centre of the nose with a line of light powder or eye shadow drawn down the centre.
