ARTIFICIAL NAILS

The artificial nails have been there in fashion for a long time. The more beautiful these artificial nails look the more difficult is the art of applying these nails, which has been perfected to a tee. Even then no doubt, there are certain advantages of applying artificial nails such as-
1. Artificial nails are more durable then the natural nails.
2. The nail polish applied on the artificial nails lasts much longer and usually never chips.
3. It is rare to break an artificial nail.
4. And these artificial nails enhance the beauty of your nails manifold.

Sculptured Nails
In the process of sculptured nails acrylic, gel or fiberglass is applied to the nails. And the material is lengthened and sculpted over metal or foil. There is another way in which a plastic nail tip can be applied with help of glue, and then items like the gel, fiberglass, silk or acrylic can be laid over the entire nail.

Acrylic Nails
The Acrylic nails are considered the strongest. They also last the longest of all the nail overlays. But for some reasons if it is not done well then these nails can look thick and artificial and thus spoil your objective of looking good. This type of nails, usually need to be filled in every two to three weeks.

Gel Nails
Generally the Manicurists use a Mylar form to sculpt your nails and then cure or set it under the Ultraviolet Rays. Because of this process the gel nails may need to be filled in less often than acrylic nails, though fill-ins are still necessary, and a professional must remove the tips. The gel nails are the quickest to apply and also look the best. With this type of acrylic nail, you can choose to go without nail polish without the fear of looking fake.

Silk, Linen and Fiber Wraps
Another creative way to add a glamorous look to your nails is through the application of wraps that are usually pieces of silk, linen or fiberglass. These items are cut to the desired shape and glued to the nail plates. Doing so adds strength and sometimes also length to the nails.

Though the wraps are done on the natural nails but they are most commonly used to strengthen the tips. Silk is not only the most natural-looking wrap but it also provides a lot of flexibility. At the same time it is often too delicate for those who have an active lifestyle.

Linen is stronger but since it is not transparent therefore it appears quite thick.

Fiberglass is the best of both worlds because it not only provides the natural look of silk but also the strength of linen.
