Child Raising After Divorce

It is a concept known as 'Equal Parenting', meaning that in case of a divorce of his parents, the child still has access to both his parents while growing up.

IN any case, a child needs both his parents for the all round growth of his personality. In cases of divorce, irrespective of the degree of conflict, it is all the more important for the child to feel secured and unaffected by the situation when it comes to him and his parents.

This can be achieved by keeping in mind the following points.

• The first step can be by giving importance in raising the child to both the parents.


• Instead of them fighting for control, they should be told to sit down and divide the responsibility as both of them are equally responsible for the child.


• If they will know for sure that they will be given equal rights on the children, they will stop fighting legally and work on a best solution for them.


• It is best that all this is done legally as a plan to be presented to the judge. A lot of money can be saved by avoiding unnecessary legal fight which can be later used for the benefit of the children.

Equal involvement of both the parents in a child's life is perhaps the most important thing for them. Especially, for children under the age of two it is very necessary to have a share of love of both the parents. Even after the divorce, the children should not be affected by it and must get proper time and attention of both the parents.
