Brandy Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
4 Egg (separated)
1/2 cup Sugar (divided in half)
1 cup Flour (sifted)
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 pn Salt
5 tsp Butter (melted)
1/2 cup Almonds (chopped)

Brandy Sauce:

2 cup Water
1 3/4 cup Sugar
1 tblsp light Corn Syrup
3/4 cup Brandy

How to make {actual-title}:
  • Grease a baking dish.
  • Set it aside.
  • Mix egg whites with one-half of sugar till stiff peaks form.
  • Beat yolks and add to other half of the sugar.
  • Combine yolks to egg whites.
  • Mix all dry ingredients and fold into eggs.
  • Combine melted butter.
  • Add nuts.
  • Stir all well.
  • Pour batter into the casserole.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375F for about 1/2 hour.
  • How to make Brandy Sauce:
  • Boil at 236 F water, sugar and corn syrup till it forms a ball.
  • Combine brandy.
  • When cake is still warm make small holes all over.
  • Spread Brandy Sauce over the cake.
