Know about skin pigmentation marks on face and also learn about the various types of pigmentation. SKIN PIGMENTATION MARKS
Sometimes when we become bit too much conscious about our skin care, the result is often the worse. The reason is we are stressing out our face constantly by repetitive cleansing and scrubbing which results in blemishes. So instead of too much of cleaning the better option is to use a gentle and a mild cleanser a day. (Note: you an always take the advice of the cosmetologist for a recommendation to choose a right cleanser).
Day makeup should always be simple, remember simple the better! Go or a simple touch up instead of heavy makeup. You can choose an acne pad, top remove excessive oil and dirt. And shine of your face. In the case of blemished skin, cleanse and moisture the dry areas, and do not ever start on experimenting with 4-5 products if u are thinking that some magic will happen over night. Stressing your face will only make your skin acne prone as the oil glands will become more active and send more oil to the surface. Hyper pigmentation As known as brown spots, occur when too much of melanin pigments are deposited on the dermal layer. They are commonly found in people with dark skins, in Brunner's with olive complexions and mostly in women more than men. The cause can be genetic but the main cause is the over exposure of the skin to the suns harmful ultraviolet rays. Types: There are mainly four types of pigmentations namely: Post inflammatory hyper pigmentation - is caused by a primary problem such as acne, rash, scratch mark or an injury to the skin. The other one is the Melasma - is usually associated with hormonal factors such as pregnancy, ingestion of birth control pills and menopausal changes. The dark spots often develop on the cheeks, forehead and upper lip. Pigments can be deposited superficially (epidermal) or deeper (dermal). Next one Is the Lentigines or liver spots - dark patches of different sizes seen in older individuals are due to sun damage. Vivid disparity of pigments indicates a visit to the dermatologist to check the malignant potential. And the fourth and the last one is known as Ephelides or freckles -these are small patches seen in young people with light complexioned skin that is prone to sun burns and exposed to the sun. Treatment Of Pigmentation As its wisely said "Prevention is better than cure", so before it gets too late to treat your skin, start using an effective sunscreen daily, this is the key in preventing and minimizing formation of brown spots. Without consistent use of a sunscreen, no treatment will be effective. Even after successful treatment, brown spots will recur with just a few minutes of unprotected sun exposure. At recent times, no such sun screen is there to completely block the harmful ultraviolet rays, but you can ask the dermatologist for better solution or at the best to use a broad spectrum UVB/UVA chemical sunscreen with SPF 30, combined with a makeup and powder that contain physical sunscreens, If done Skillfully, this layering of sunscreens will conceal the brown spots and achieve a natural-looking finish. Do not forget to apply the sunscreen after every 2-3 hrs as the sunscreen effects for a limited period of time, so next time you go out in a sun, carry a sunscreen lotion in your handbag. |
